Hurricane Wilma
Hurricane Wilma struck today. I woke up at 11 am to find that it was raining like mad and the wind was blowing crazily. Which is about correct because that's when she reached the east coast. Although expected to hit as a cat. 1, Wilma was a 2 yet still wimpy compared to Francis and Jeanne last year. I enjoyed the classes being cancelled part. That was nice. So instead I lazed around Eric's apartment, played World of Warcraft and worked on my MatLab project.People were stupid today. They decided that it was a wonderful idea to take a rubber raft out into Crane Creek and paddle and swim around a bit. Stupid stupid stupid. Crane Creek quadrupled in width and rate of flow. Fun.
So now, it's around 9:30 and it's cold outside, 58 degrees. The stars are out and there is a slight breeze. Wow what a difference. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 70s. I can't wait. This is wonderful weather to start running in. Lately it's just been too icky to go out and exercise except at the gym and I don't like to go there without someone with me. I've asked Eric but he doesn't like to exercise in a gym. Stinker.
To catch up:
I turned 21 on the 9th of this month. Yay for me, I'm legal. Now the only thing I cannot do is rent a car. Stink. My mom came down for my birthday weekend and we had a blast. After she arrived late, we went out shopping. I got items for my kitchen and a kitchen table. Hurray! It was a treat figuring out how to put the table into the rental car.
On the day of my birthday, we all went to the beach then mom, eric and I went to Strawberry Mansion for dinner. It was so nice, expensive too. I had a strawberry daquiri. Mmmmm. That night we had a party and a couple people came over. It was so much fun, especially reading through the crazy present that Karen got for me. It was so embarrasing, especially in front of my mother. Oh well.
Eric, as he himself predicted, got me hooked on Naruto. Who'd a thought that I'd ever watch anime or play an MMORPG. On that note. I have to get back to my MatLab project. In closing, I'd like to end with lyrics from the closing music of Naruto in the first couple of episodes. It's awesome, in 5/4 time. But I'm a music geek like that. The lyrics may not make sense, but I like the song anyway.
