I was groped by a Manatee!

Today has been extremely long yet very fun! Long because I got up extremely early but fun because it was our annual Blue Springs State Park trip! The people who went: Eric, Melissa, Cheryl, Erin, Gretchen, two of Erin's friends and myself. It was awesome! The air temperature when we got in the water was probably around 60-65 degrees but the water temperature was 72. We snorkeled up from the water entry point to the spring head where we played around in the water for a while. During this time the manatees came up to the spring head with us. There were about 7 with us, including a calf and it's HUGE mother. The cow was extremely curious and proceeded to weave in and out of our legs. This was a major feat as she was about 10 feet long and 4 feet or more across her midsection. I found it all amusing although the park patrol was out in force making sure the manatees weren't harrassed. Luckily, because we were just observing and the manatees were coming up to US, we didn't get yelled at. Yay!

I drove there and back and then took a wonderful nap while Eric took down the desktop computer he had let me borrow. Thank you Eric! BUT, my laptop is back! Hurray, and it is fixed which is a wonderful thing for me. I love my nice screen and the now awesome storage space I've got again. The computer people replaced my harddrive, fan, heat sink and something else to do with the harddrive but I don't know what it is. All I know is that my computer is happy.

Eric has gotten me hooked on World of Warcraft. I can't believe that I'd let myself get sucked into this game but I did. Now I have two characters on opposing sides. I'm such a sucker.

On February 7th Eric and I celebrated our one year anniversary! It's been such a wonderful year with him and I'm so happy! To celebrate I made heart pasta that I've had for a while and cooked up some shrimp scampi to go with it. It was a good meal, especially being made in Columbia Village.

Well, now it's time to go back to writing my lab report for Community Ecology. I need to have a rough draft done by tonight if I want my GSA to read it over and edit it for me.
